Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for: Academics section for CIE
Job Purpose: To share the leadership across the school in the CIE section in all aspects of the management, development and monitoring of pupil performance in line with the requirements of the School Academics.
Ensure the vision for the school – CIE section is clearly articulated, shared, understood and acted upon effectively by all the members of the staff.

Ensure creativity, innovation and the use of appropriate new technologies to achieve excellence in teaching methods for the International curriculum
Ensure a consistent and continuous school wide focus on pupils achievement, using data and benchmarks to monitor progress in children’s learning for all students undertaking the International curriculum.
Ensure a culture and ethos of challenge and support where all pupils can achieve success and become engaged in their own learning
Implement strategies which secure high standards of behaviour and attendance amongst both students and teachers.
Determine, organise and implement the International curriculum from the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE)
Take a strategic role in the development of new and emerging technologies to enhance and extend the learning experience of pupils

AMREF has over 500 employees throughout Africa with its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya.The African Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF) in partnership with University Research Co., LLC (URC) and Management Sciences for Health (MSH) are implementing a five year, USAID funded project known as TIBU HOMA. The project is being implemented in the lake zone. The goal of this project is to reduce mortality of children under five with severe febrile illness through increasing proper diagnosis and treatment of febrile illness cases in the Lake Zone. In order to achieve this, this program will achieve the objectives of increasing availability and accessibility to essential facility based curative and preventive child health services; ensuring sustainability of critical child health activities; and increasing linkages within the community to promote healthy behaviors.AMREF is therefore seeking to recruit highly qualified, experienced and motivated individuals for the following position: -
Job Objectives:
Provide leadership and management of the project. Work with and strengthen the capacity of local authorities, health facilities, communities, CSOs and other partners to respond to diagnosis and management of severe febrile illness in children conditions.
